Name: John Latimer
Motivation to get in shape: Job requirement
My name is John and I have been in the security business for over 20 years. It was fairly easy for me to keep in shape in my younger years and never thought that I would struggle with putting on weigh as I got older, because I was fairly active and on my feet for over 15 hours a day! Then 40 happened and I knew I needed to switch things up or I would be in trouble. I was introduced to energyXchange and everything changed. I started doing things I never thought I would do, like Yoga and Pilates, and actually enjoyed it. I began seeing muscles I haven't seen since my 30's, let alone 40's, and I was hooked! Every day is something new and I am never bored, so I always look forward to the next workout. Thanks to Marea I can do a 15 hour shift and still have energy left over for life.

Motivation to get in shape: "the dress"
Like every woman who has had to plan a wedding, the stress was intense and the time was lacking. I carried a few extra pounds through university and was never really interested in exercise, but never saw it as a real problem until I had to start looking for "the dress". There is something to be said about dressing in white from head to toe that seemed a little unnerving, and I knew I had 6 months to get it together. Someone told me about the bridal bootcamp and I instantly signed up. Marea first taught me that this wasn't a "quick fix, I'm going to starve myself for 6 months plan", but a program I could follow for life. I can honestly say that I have never looked better and that I have never received so many compliments about my new outlook and body. I met Marea through desperation, but will stay with the program for life ... I can honestly say I never knew what I was missing and will never again go back to the way things were.
Name: Edward Nevelle
Occupation: Self proclaimed computer geek
Motivation to get in shape: girl on chat line actually wants to meet
All joking aside, I work on computers a lot and sit at a desk for most of the day. My love of beer didn't help much, and before I knew it I had a gut to prove it. My back hurt all the time, my body couldn't do the simplest of tasks, and I was miserable. I met Marea when I felt I hit my bottom and I don't know why I waited so long. For someone who was new to fitness, I was excepted with open arms and never felt as though I didn't belong. Within a few sessions my back felt strong and pain free, my energy went up significantly and my confidence to try new exercise grew. The best part was that with the nutrition plan that was really easy to follow, I could keep still have the occasional beer and lose the beer belly. Thanks to Marea I honestly feel like a new person.
Name: Abigail Houster
Occupation: Stay at home mom
Motivation to get in shape: can't keep up with my kids
I have three kids under the age of 7 with my youngest being 3. I never before had so much energy for my family as I do now. I would wait until my husband came home every night just to get to take a long nap and muster the energy to make something for dinner. I began training with Marea being interested in Pilates and was never one for the yoga thing, but after a few classes, I realized how much more centered I was and how much it helps my life. I then started to get interested in the Gravity machine and there was no turning back. With muscles I have never seen before and the amazing motivation from the staff and my husband, I can now out run my kids! Thanks energyXchange, I haven't felt this good in years!

Motivation to get in shape: need to lose the freshman 15
Well, to tell you the truth, I came in for ice tea and saw the place. Its awesome! With the decor being a combination of old and new, I felt I was in a cool loft, not a gym. Everyone there was really nice and their roof top patio is amazing. Just the place to relax after a long lecture. I'm on as students budget, but I always put money aside for beer and energyXchange! I lost the freshman 15 and are now hooked with the way this place makes me feel. I even had a date in a candle lit yoga class and she said it was the most romantic date she has ever had. If you ever want to find me, I will be the one camped out in one of their great Muskoka chairs, on the patio, enjoying a cup of tea.

Occupation: Medical Assistant
Motivation to get in shape: lose the baby fat (he's four)
Not everyone knows to never ask a girl when she's due, because this used to happen on a daily basis. When I had enough of the awkward embarrassment for me (and them) I decided to do something about it. Four years of lugging around all that extra weight and only three months to get rid of it. I owe my new body and balanced mind to Marea, and our whole family is grateful.
Name: Beth Karasis
Motivation to get in shape: As a teacher and mother, I give a lot and my day is all about helping others.
I woke up one day and decided I needed some taking care of myself and started researching where I would go and what I would do. I stumbled upon Marea when I received one of her flyer's and really only came in for her free Davids Tea promotion (yum). Let me tell you, I have not looked back. She is amazing and you totally feel like you're in good hands. She knows what she is talking about, what has changed over the years in terms of whole health and fitness, and she wants to hear your reasons for being there rather than every other gym that thinks your there for big biceps. Now, I give everything I've got in the classroom and recharge at energyXchange to have the energy to do it all over again. I feel like everyone wins, and my students have even noticed a difference. I'm a client for life!
